I would prefer that we reuse annotations where possible, meaning using additional annotations for making into a status message (ala @LogMessage). File a JBLOGGING issue about making the interpolation of messages extensible to allow us to support EL interpolation in Seam, and link back here. Also agree with Lincoln that having a non-typesafe api is important.
