Currently, seam persistence provides the SeamManaged annotation.  However, other modules needing to use it need to then depend on persistence, which isn't a good idea in all cases (plus makes dependency difficult).  I would like to have this annotation moved and deprecated in persistence.  I can send a pull request if you want.
