This problems is occuring again. Using Seam dist SNAPSHOT from 2012-07-23 gives in JBDS 5.0.1 following classpath errors for missing libraries: 

lib/testng-jdk15.jar
lib/jboss-jsf-api_2.1_spec.jar
lib/jboss-deployers-core-spi.jar
lib/jboss-deployers-client-spi.jar
lib/hsqldb.jar
lib/cglib-nodep.jar
