To be clear, we're not currently planning on providing any new tooling  
support, but there is a little bit of work to be done in the  
Designer.  We need to upgrade its Teiid Embedded to the latest release  
once available, but more to this discussion, because we're also not  
currently planning on making any changes to Designer to keep up with  
metadata changes/consolidations in Teiid being discussed here, the  
Designer project will become the "owner" of the "old" metadata code  
that previously resided in the Teiid project and shared/used by  
Designer.
