As Teiid team, we want to offer solutions either way. The actual
decision to do one way other is still pending AFAIK. 

We found yesterday that ESB tooling seems to be dependent upon the
Server being there, which is similar to current Teiid approach. So,
there are pros and cons in both approaches.
