[teiid-dev] trunk is converting to git

As part of https://issues.jboss.org/browse/TEIID-2154 we are working toward cutting over trunk to git.  The current state of trunk and all prior branches will still remain in SVN.  It will probably take several days to get a full conversion of developer docs, commit notifications, jira, etc. converted to git.  This will hopefully coincide with the release Teiid 8.2 Beta1 by mid-week.

An initial import from SVN version 4518 was performed to create a git hub repository [1] that includes legacy branches - however SVN remains the repository of record for all pre-8.0 branches.
