Ramesh Reddy commented on TEIID-1080:
-------------------------------------

I have added and modified the Admin API methods according the Translation layer changes. Even though Teiid now supports or provides connection factories for some data sources, we do not have any "data source" specific API methods on it, as we consider this concern is external to the Teiid proper.

however, if the tooling decides to go with "server" install for preview this API addition may be required. Once this is decided I will close this issue.

> Now that we have two separate layers to define a connector the Admin API must be modified to aid in managing the lifecycle of the Translation Layer and Connection Layer. Some obvious methods will be
> - addTranslator(name, properties)
> - deleteTranslator(name)
> will keep the current data source methods for the connection. The previous names with "Connection Factory" will be removed/renamed.
