Mark Addleman commented on TEIID-1665:
--------------------------------------

Will it? My logic could be off. I'm thinking that

SELECT 'A' as A, 'B' as B FROM xyz GROUP BY A, B

will always result in either zero or one row depending on whether table xyz is empty or not.

> If a translator supports LIMIT but does not support select expressions, SELECT 'A' as A, 'B' as B FROM xyz GROUP BY A, B should be written as SELECT * FROM xyz LIMIT 1
