The refactoring needed will be to push the multi-source logic to a processing concern rather than a planning concern.  Using a modified plantoprocessconverter requires a planned form of the query to be produced which due to prepared plans is not generally allowed to access bind or other less than command deterministic values.

Sticking with the current approach could be done, but would result in a needlessly large plan where the union branches for non-querycommands would be guarded by select nodes that filter on the source name.
