Van Halbert commented on TEIID-2279:
------------------------------------

Want to add the following comment regarding an issue that arose that needs to be documented:

Issue: When the server is rebooted after deploying all the artifacts, the JPA service triggered the processing of the persistence.xml defined for Hibernate in the quick start. This in turned caused Hibernate to try to make a connection to the VDB, but LoginExceptions where thrown because the VDB was not yet deployed (the Teiid Deployer had yet to be triggered as part of the boot up process).

Resolution: The dependency of: "deployment.<vdb-filename> export" had to be added to either the .war Manifest or in the jboss-deployment-structure.xml file so that when the server is RESTARTED, the Hibernate persistence will be delayed until the VDB is deployed.

In this case, I add: deployment.portfolio-vdb.xml export
to the war Manifest.

> Promote the product hibernate quick start upstream into the project.
> Question, would this be better in Designer with a how-to to walk thru creating integrating with hibernate.
