The initial changes are in, but there is no automatic handling yet for references to system (sys, sysadmin, pg_catalog) tables in imported materialized views.  One option would be to use an explicit metadata property (either at the model or view level).

On a related note, the sharing of result set cache entries may be possible, but requires access analysis to determine at what vdb level the results can be shared.
