Tableu data extract file is called TDE, and one can build a TDE file, that Tableau can consume.  Here is blog on on TDE http://www.tableau.com/about/blog/2014/7/understanding-tableau-data-extracts-part1

I am sure with little effort we can have similar offering over any JDBC driver, however note that this Data Extract API is not public API, that means we can not offer it in the Teiid community as is with Tableu jar files. (One needs to read through their license on fine print decide)

So that aim is to provide a module in Teiid community, when combined with jar modules from Tableu can generate the TDE file.
