Looks like Impala translator translator fine according to https://www.cloudera.com/documentation/enterprise/5-8-x/topics/impala_conditional_functions.html

Where as for Hive this seems to the one wrong https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/Hive/LanguageManual+UDF
