[van]  If the JDG CallBackHandler is called  each time a action is performed on the cache and the handler was implemented to pull the subject off thread, would that work?

[tristan] I'm afraid this is not enough: once a connection is "authenticated" it
cannot be used for other credentials, since there are potential
integrity and privacy requirements imposed by SASL. The solution is
obviously to create a dedicated temporary connection with the new
credentials which is thrown away at the end.
