Steven Hawkins updated TEIID-5809:
----------------------------------
Issue Type: Feature Request (was: Bug)

> Is the deltatoken a feature which should currently work?

No, it is not expected to work. You could make the case for an exception to clarify the lack of support.

This is definitely an enhancement. It is also something that is difficult to implement. In general it needs to be mapped to change tracking on the source - and a simple modification date column won't be sufficient as that won't track deletions. Are you potentially looking for something like CDC/Debizium integration to provide a topic queue that can be processed for updates?

If Teiid is the only system through which updates are flowing you can argue to make this a feature of Teiid - but that is a significant effort as well.

> Hello Steven,
> I am currently looking into the use of the deltatoken for offline synchronization. It seems like Teiid simply ignores the command. The following example results in the full collection to be
> returned and not just the differences according to the deltatoken date. Is the deltatoken a feature which should currently work?
