The Control operations tab is not available (greyed out) to Applications types.  The JBAS 4 plugin provides the following Control operations:
EAR:
REVERT
Tries to restore state of enterprise application from a saved backup.

WAR:
START - Start Web App
STOP - Stop Web App
RELOAD - Reloads Web App
REVERT -  Tries to restore state of web app from a saved backup.
