When adding a new resource (EAR or WAR), the only available option is to select the archive to be deployed.  JBAS 4 plugin provides Deployment options that are not present in the JBAS 5 plugin; specifically,

Deploy Zipped - Indicates if deployed zipped or exploded.
Deploy Directory - Path to deploy the file
Create Backup -  Should an existing file with this name be moved to backup ending in .bak
