Can you try to run -G -S hawkfx.rb (reverse the flags)?

I am running on OS/X myself and it works (with the reversed
flags).

Otherwise "bundle exec jruby hawkfx.rb" should
also work.

Note that Jruby 9.1.6.0 has an issue, but you use
9.1.5.0 which is good.
