As I expected since manifest.mf is a very unreliable way of resolving  
classpaths at development
time since jars might not be present....

Sure, Eclipse can do that too (if you install m2eclipse plugin).

But it fails just as bad as Eclipse thus Eclipse rules equally bad ;)
