I used maven-antrun-plugin and XInclude to do insert the project version number:

* 295th line: http://fisheye.jboss.org/browse/Netty/trunk/pom.xml?r=1076
* 10th line: http://fisheye.jboss.org/browse/Netty/trunk/src/docbook/master.xml?r=1106
