[jboss-user] [JBoss Tools (users)] - Using build.proerties varibles in Packaging Configurations g

I am wondering about the packaging-build.xml file produced using the values set on the Project packaging Configurations page. I would like the folder selections to point to variables defined in my build.properties file. I tried to add $ variables in the folder selection but it hung on saving the config. 
Is there a way to do this?
