Hi Alessio,
  You are dead-on accurate.  WL's clientgen provides a similar functionality.  Can you send me a sample build.xml which leverages wsconsume Ant Task  by taking the wsdl file as a parameter and creating a client-jar.  My email is vatsa82 at gmail.com
