Well, than I gues, statements in FAQ and documenttion like:

or
- being able to participate in  http://java.sun.com/products/jta JTA transactions                   (works with most Java EE compliant transaction managers).

are just advertisements :-)
As what I know, Atomikos has some pretty good JTA compliant solution (and even JTA/XA)...
