Several possible approach:
* Single repo: not suitable for forking modules independently
* 1 repo per component: need efforts to make component build more independent
* 1 repo + submodules: lots of pitfall ( http://book.git-scm.com/5_submodules.html ) but seems to be well integrated with GitHub ( http://help.github.com/submodules/ )
