How did you set it up? Locally using svn2git or using this: http://kris.me.uk/2010/10/01/svn-master-with-git-mirrors.html ?
Who is in charge of synchronization: does GitHub perform the synchronization, or do you have a local repo with crons doing sync? For the second case, I think you have to push the repo each time it is synchronized with SVN.
