The SwitchYard maven plugin does not work correctly in incremental builds.  Because it uses the switchyard.xml file from the output folder as part of its input, changes to scanned elements can create phantom elements.  For example, changing an interface referenced by a service will add a new component element to the switchyard.xml, but will not remove the original.  A full build is required to get a correct switchyard.xml.
