A process with a rule flow task started in SY will not fire the rules. In order for rules to fire, an EventListener must be registered as part of the code that creates the knowledge session to listen to the Rule Flow Task entry event so that it can call fireAllRules. jBPM Console gwt-console-server do this, as does ProcessFlowProvision, however SY BPM component does not.
