One idea that was discussed is to add the ability to record problems using the
ProgressMonitor interface. This would not only allow the provider of the progress monitor
to know whether/what problems were encountered, but it also obviates the need for
additional parameters to all the places that already accept ProgressMonitor.

of the various DNA services, such as during sequencing, analysis, or federation, such that
