Randall Hauch commented on DNA-105:
-----------------------------------
Wouldn't it be just as useful to sequence all of the content, and allow the user of
the resulting information decide whether only the first line is used? One benefit is that
a CSV importer in Tool X might be able to show the user some of the data, helping the user
know whether particular columns are of interest.
Sequence metadata from delimited text files

Key: DNA-105
URL:
http://jira.jboss.com/jira/browse/DNA-105
Project: DNA
Issue Type: Feature Request
Components: Sequencers
Reporter: Greg Haber
Priority: Minor
It is a somewhat common practice for delimited text files such as comma-separated (CSV)
or tab delimited files to contain a list of column names in the first line of the file. A
sequencer to capture this metadata could be useful, and should be straightforward to
implement.
