As of 4.2 this has been replaced by get(BytesBody.BYTES_LOCATION) " But this doesn't work. BytesBody.BYTES_LOCATION is also deprecated without a proper hint where to go next! Following the javadoc and calling System.out.println("Body: " + message.getBody().get(BytesBody.BYTES_LOCATION)); in HelloWorld ( from Eclipse ESB create project ) shows "[STDOUT] Body: null
