Aleksandar Kostadinov commented on JBESB-1513:
----------------------------------------------
Thanks for looking into that! I've some questions though:
---------
We don't need ESB bits to be copied to the test profile for SOA-P tests. They actually
must not be copied to have valid results as the idea is to test SOA-P, not sources. As
well SOA-P uses JBM so JBESB-1524 should not be an issue.
So I tried running the tests by changing these properties:
chprop src/qa/quickstarts/quickstarts.properties org.jboss.esb.server.home
"$WORKSPACE/jbosssoa/jboss-as"
chprop src/qa/quickstarts/quickstarts.properties org.jboss.esb.server.config $SERVER_NAME
chprop product/build/jbossesb/samples/quickstarts/conf/quickstarts.properties
org.jboss.esb.server.home "$WORKSPACE/jbosssoa/jboss-as"
chprop product/build/jbossesb/samples/quickstarts/conf/quickstarts.properties
org.jboss.esb.server.config $SERVER_NAME
chprop product/build/jbossesb/install/deployment.properties org.jboss.esb.server.home
"$WORKSPACE/jbosssoa/jboss-as"
chprop product/build/jbossesb/install/deployment.properties org.jboss.esb.server.config
$SERVER_NAME
Where SERVER_NAME is "default" or "all" because for the embedded SOA-P
distro we need that profile tested. What am I doing wrong?
---------
What about the "product" directory tests? Can they run with test.classpath set
to external bits?

----------------------------------------
Key: JBESB-1513
URL:
http://jira.jboss.com/jira/browse/JBESB-1513
Project: JBoss ESB
Issue Type: Feature Request
Security Level: Public(Everyone can see)
Components: Testing, Build and Release
Affects Versions: 4.2.1 CP1
Reporter: Aleksandar Kostadinov
Assigned To: Tom Cunningham
Fix For: 4.2.1 CP1
Kevin, many thanks for your offer to go through the build files and to make sure it runs
against external binaries. I'm creating that issue so this can be tracked.
Please let me know any estimate based on your schedule on how soon would you be able to
look at that.
