Burr Sutter commented on JBESB-996:
-----------------------------------
helloworld_db_registration is supposed to illustrate how registration can happen via RMI
vs SOAP vs DB/native. At least that was the original purpose (back in late 2006). So
that is why the jar file is there to demonstrate the use of a mysql-based registry with
native/local/db-based registration. I'm not suggesting we must keep it, just
describing its original purpose.
MYSQL drivers are bundled in some of the quickstarts

http://jira.jboss.com/jira/browse/JBESB-996
Project: JBoss ESB
Issue Type: Task
Security Level: Public(Everyone can see)
Components: Examples
Affects Versions: 4.2
Reporter: Tom Fennelly
Assigned To: Kevin Conner
Fix For: 4.2.1
I don't think we should be bundling these drivers in any of our components. These
drivers should be added based on the version of the installed Server.
