Tom Cunningham commented on JBESB-544:
--------------------------------------
As Kevin suggested, I'm going to split this into two different bugs. This one will
be targeted towards MR3, and will show what's been implemented so far, since
everything here is accessible through jmx-console. I'll create a new bug with a
future milestone to reflect 4.2 GA/5.0 work.
Global Message Counter: A message counter that tracks total messages both successful and
failed, average bytes per message, average processing time, and the time at which the last
successful and failed messages were processed. The global message counter can be reset,
which sets all of the applicable totals to zero. You can find this in jmx-console
under jboss.esb as "Service=MessageCounter".
Per-Service-Message Counters : A Message Counter is created for each service, which tracks
the number of failed and successful messages and the processing time that it takes each
action to complete. The per-service message counters can be found in jmx-console under
jboss.esb as
category=MessageCounter,listener-name=<LISTENER_NAME>,service-category=<SERVICE-CATEGORY>,service-name=<SERVICE_NAME>
Listener Controllers : Shows all applicable information about a listener or a gateway
(current state, XML, all attributes), and allows the user to initialise/start/stop/destroy
the listener. These can be found in jmx-console under jboss.esb in the name of the
listener or the gateway it applies to.
