This is one of those 'we could do it a different way, but it would make the generated code cleaner if...' requests :)
At present the PersistencePlugin generates:
private @OneToMany(mappedBy = "customer")
Set<SubmittedOrder> orders = new HashSet<SubmittedOrder>();
public Set getOrders() {
return this.orders;
}
public void setOrders(final Set orders) {
this.orders = orders;
}
@OneToOne
private Profile profile;
public Profile getProfile() {
return this.profile;
}
public void setProfile(final Profile profile) {
this.profile = profile;
}
I would instead like it to generate:
private @OneToMany(cascade = CascadeType.ALL)
Set<SubmittedOrder> orders = new HashSet<SubmittedOrder>();
public Set getOrders() {
return this.orders;
}
public void setOrders(final Set orders) {
this.orders = orders;
}
@OneToOne(cascade = CascadeType.ALL)
private Profile profile;

So I am asking for:
1. Add CascadeType.ALL to @OneToMany and @OneToOne
2. Remove the 'mappedBy' from @OneToMany. I think this is a mistake, because it is saying this is an inverse relationship? I don't think it should be considered inverse. If 'mappedBy' is there, Cascade will have no effect

In some circumstances, an entity is only relevant as part of a parent-child relationship. For example, a venue, such as a stadium, might have multiple layouts. The layouts are entities in their own right, but should only be modified through the owning venue.
Note:
* The entity should not appear in the main menu on the left
* The view/create/edit for the child should be a separate screen
* Once a child has been viewed/created/edited, you should be returned to the parent entity create/edit screen
* A bi-directional one-to-many/many-to-one relationship could be used as an indicator of wanting this behavior

Burr, this works fine for me in the latest SNAPSHOT of Forge. It's possible that the version of Forge that is bundled in JBoss Tools is not up to date.
Koen, is Beta5 in M5? Or is that Beta4?
Looks like this is a JBoss Tools issue.
I did notice that EJB and REST are not detected, but that's because they are not using XML, and Forge does not yet have a source-scanner to enable detection of other forms of activation (working on it, but not going to be in .Final)

Burr, I was able to reproduce this issue with the default "embedded" Forge runtime currently in JBoss Tools. However, if you download Forge runtime 1.0.0.Beta5 and you use the "Forge->Installed Forge Runtimes" preference page to add an select 1.0.0.Beta5 than your problem should go away. At least it does in my setup. Can you verify that?
