This also occurs when you are creating the page for the first time. Steps to reproduce 1) create a break point somewhere in the code which will be hit when clicking on edit page (for example UIMainActionListener.EditCurrentPageActionListener.execute). Create another break point at UIPortalApplication.processRender 2) setup the server for debugging 3) click on the Edit Page link 4) when the first break point is reached wait 5) about 30 seconds later another thread will be trying to render the page Expected results: no other thread should occur. You should also be able to see in the logs that the portlets are being accessed twice. This is causing some issues with portlets not behaving properly when a new page is created or edited.
