A quick test can show the problem: add /a/b/c add /a/d/c remove /a/_/c find the cache is empty. Fortunately the problem is apparently limited to deleteNodeSql and recursiveChildrenSql, both in JDBCCacheLoaderConfig (and not in AdjListJDBCCacheLoaderConfig).
