Update Developer Guide with JBoss Tools and Maven integration
-------------------------------------------------------------
Key: RFPL-1415
URL:
https://issues.jboss.org/browse/RFPL-1415
Project: RichFaces Planning
Issue Type: Task
Security Level: Public(Everyone can see)
Components: doc
Affects Versions: 4.0.0.Final
Reporter: Lukas Fryc
Assignee: Sean Rogers
Priority: Critical
Fix For: 4.0.0.Final
* We need to update "Import the project into an IDE" section, since it is not
used by JBoss Tools properly.
* Recommended is also deprecating "Using Maven to prepare the project for
Eclipse" section, since it doesn't handle JBoss integration specific features
(JSF Facets).

For Eclipse and JBoss Tools, you can import the project using the JBoss Maven Integration
plug-in which depends on M2Eclipse functionality.
To install the plug-in, choose Help → Install New Software from the menu. Select JBoss
Tools update site to work with. Open Maven Support group and select JBoss Maven
Integration and JBoss Maven JSF Configurator. Follow the prompts to install the
integration plug-ins including transitive dependencies on Maven Integration for Eclipse
and Maven Integration for WTP (both from M2Eclipse project). Restart Eclipse to finish
installation.
With the plug-in installed, open the importing wizard by choosing File → Import from the
menu. Select Maven → Existing Maven Projects as the import source and choose the directory
with pom.xml file for your project.
