I took a cursory glance at Camel project last night. From what I
saw, they are trying to decouple Camel from Spring dependencies due to
demand.
Their latest version 2.10.x has CDI integration:

that is a very good suggestion. I had taken a look at Camel 24 m
ago. It was spring heavy at least in the configuration.
Given that Fusesource has Camel, we should definitely work the
Camel/PicketLink angle.

Currently Camel supports only Spring Security and Apache Shiro, I'm just curious if we
have any plans to add PicketLink support to offer as an alternative to Shiro and Spring.
