[JBoss JIRA] (TEIIDDES-1701) Deleting model open in dirty editor results in org.eclipse.swt.SWTException: Invalid thread access
by Paul Richardson (JIRA)
[ https://issues.jboss.org/browse/TEIIDDES-1701?page=com.atlassian.jira.plu... ]
Paul Richardson resolved TEIIDDES-1701.
---------------------------------------
Resolution: Done
Since editor closure must occur on the UI thread, a thread.join() must occur to ensure that operations all occur synchronously. However, the internals of the editor saving method creates a runnable for the saving of each resource. It is impossible to join to these threads as well hence making the saving/closing of editors in the refactoring process impossible.
Instead, include checks for dirty resources, open editors and error-out the refactoring process.

[JBoss JIRA] (TEIIDDES-1703) Delete Model action default behavior is to delete all dependent models and probably not what users expects. Re-visit use-case
by Paul Richardson (JIRA)
[ https://issues.jboss.org/browse/TEIIDDES-1703?page=com.atlassian.jira.plu... ]
Paul Richardson resolved TEIIDDES-1703.

Resolution: Done
Delete refactoring UI modified so that the first dialog leaves users in no doubt what resources and their dependencies will be deleted if they click OK. It also points out that they can modify the selection if they click Preview.

> The new Refactor logic utilizes Eclipse's refactor/preview framework. Works GREAT.
> Problem is, unlike deleting folders and projects, deleting a model will result in the default behavior of deleting any and all dependent models. For a WS model, this may include XSD files, XML Files and Source models.
> Users can click "Preview>>" to view and deselect items for deletion, but this operation is probably NOT for the faint of heart.
> Suggest maybe adding some verbage/warning on the FIRST page of the wizard so user knows that DEPENDENT files will be deleted.
> Maybe add a "check-box" to change the default behavior to NOT delete dependent models.

I think the following will work:
* Apply attached patch files
* Add the following line in 7.7.x & 8.3.x QueryService.createFunctionLibrary() method after *fMethod.setPushDown(descriptor.getPushDownLiteral());* statement
** fMethod.setVarArgs(descriptor.getVariableArgs());
This will set the varargs true/false value when the functions or procedures are loaded into the Function Library
