> When creating new Data Role, I am not able to uncheck Read checkbox(or to check any other checkbox) until I click on model that this checkbox belongs to.
> Screenshot 1 - I am not able to uncheck/check any checkboxes
> Screenshot 2 - I am able to uncheck checkbox in "Products_view.xmi" row, but not in the "Products_source.xmi" row.
> Is this fixed in TEIIDDES-2196?
> This problem (you have to click on particular part of row to change other value in this row) occurs also in other parts of Teiid Designer, for example Edit VDB dialogue-> Source binding definition...
> Teiid Designer 8.3.3.Final

[JBoss JIRA] (TEIIDDES-2187) Teiid Connection importer- chosing a location isn't filled in unless you hit back button
by Mark Drilling (JIRA)
[ https://issues.jboss.org/browse/TEIIDDES-2187?page=com.atlassian.jira.plu... ]
Mark Drilling commented on TEIIDDES-2187:
-----------------------------------------
Do you know if this is specific to those Windows versions? I tested on Windows7 with Designer 8.5, and could not reproduce. So either it's fixed in designer 8.5 or a specific vista problem...

> This only happens when installed on Windows Vista or 2008 not on Linux.
> Choose File -> Import -> Teiid Designer -> Teiid Connection >> Source model:
> Then, choose a particular data source (shouldn't matter which one)
> Click "Next", this screen will now ask you to choose a location
> Click on the dots behind the grayed out "Location:" field and choose a location
> After selecting a location and pressing the "Ok" button, the location is not taken from the "Select a folder" dialog box and therefore empty.
> If I now choose "Back", I arrive in the previous screen again. Pressing "Next" again now does fill in the previously chosen "Location" value.

> Data Roles dialog box shows "Mapped Role Names" as name to map the data-roles to enterprise groups. Talking with couple people I realized that, users are not readily able to grasp two concepts of mapping data-role name with enterprise groups.
> If the name is changed to "Mapped Enterprise Group" then it will little bit more clear about the intention. Also, if we can add a description like,
> "One to one mapping of a enterprise group of the logged in user based on JAAS authentication on the server"
> that would be informational.

[JBoss JIRA] (TEIIDDES-2220) Allow MongoDB import in the Teiid Connection Importer

> Currently the Teiid Connection Importer does not allow user to proceed with a MongoDB source. In Teiid 8.7, some capability to generate Mongo schema has been added (see linked JIRA).
> We should allow user to select the MongoDB source. In general (for any source), if the importer fails to retrieve the DDL (or there is nothing generated) we should consider allowing the user to proceed. Just generate an empty model with the CP set on it. Then the user will have to manually model after import.

> The visibility checkbox in Model list in VDB editor often does not change its state after clicking, only after either the VDB is saved or the table view is resized (by resizing the editor pane or the whole JBDS window).

[JBoss JIRA] (TEIIDDES-2225) Add Kerberos Support for REST-based Sources
by Ted Jones (JIRA)
[ https://issues.jboss.org/browse/TEIIDDES-2225?page=com.atlassian.jira.plu... ]
Ted Jones commented on TEIIDDES-2225:
-------------------------------------
[~blafond], I believe the bulk of the work is on the server side (AS). We will need to add:
1. Kerberos authentication as an option for SOAP and REST CPs
2. Possibly create the RA as defined here: https://community.jboss.org/wiki/AhowToGuideTodelegateKerberosTokenToREST...
3. Add Kerberos client code to negotiate the connection to the service. Apache HTTP Components HTTPClient (https://hc.apache.org/httpcomponents-client-4.3.x/index.html) may be used for this. We may need to ask for server and realm as part of this too.
For example:
{code:title=Sample Kerberos Client Code|borderStyle=solid}
HttpClientBuilder clientBuilder = HttpClientBuilder.create();
BasicCredentialsProvider basicCredentialsProvider = new BasicCredentialsProvider();
basicCredentialsProvider.setCredentials(AuthScope.ANY, CurrentWindowsCredentials.get());
String host = "server.mydomain.com";
String realm = "MYADREALM.MYDOMAIN.COM";
final String servicePrincipal = "HTTP/" + host + "@" + realm;
Lookup<AuthSchemeProvider> authRegistry = new Lookup<AuthSchemeProvider>()
{
@Override
public AuthSchemeProvider lookup(String arg0)
{
return new WindowsNegotiateSchemeFactory(servicePrincipal);
}
};
clientBuilder.setDefaultCredentialsProvider(basicCredentialsProvider);
clientBuilder.setDefaultAuthSchemeRegistry(authRegistry);
CloseableHttpClient client = clientBuilder.build();
{code}
