[JBoss JIRA] (TEIIDDES-2246) Cannot import metadata for mode shape using Teiid Connection importer
by Barry LaFond (JIRA)
Barry LaFond commented on TEIIDDES-2246:
----------------------------------------
TEIIDDEs-2275 relaxed the importer to allow creating an Empty Model if there is no returned DDL, whether via time-out or unsupported translator type.
So we'll remove the unsupported types check in *SelectDataSourcePage.java*

> The ability to import ModeShape metadata using the Teiid Connection importer was disabled.
> However, now that a dynamic vdb can be used to query ModeShape, the import option should be enabled.

by Mark Drilling (JIRA)
Mark Drilling resolved TEIIDDES-2194.
-------------------------------------
Resolution: Done
changed the dialog messages to clarify the different options.
changed button text on the dialog during a vdb deploy operation
eliminated unnecessary dialog in the CreateVDBDataSource action

> When deploying VDB and the data source already exist, it still want to create a new data source. see attachment.
> The default was left, just to move on. The test datasource was created, but the VDB still worked, because the JNDI in the VDB was mapped to an already configured datasource.

> I am working on a test script for Data roles and I am also testing Data roles with VDB Reuse.
> I connected to VDB using the process described in section 10.6 in [1]
> This process creates a source model.
> Then I created view model using transformation from this source model.
> Now, when I try to copy some procedure to this view model everthing works, but when I try to delete this coppied procedure JBDS gives me an error warning that this model is READ ONLY. I shouldn't be read only, should it?
> BUT, when I try to cut this procedure from the model (Ctrl + X) everything works, without error warnings. Also in the properties of this model isn't the checkbox for "read only" checked.

[JBoss JIRA] (TEIIDDES-2028) Teiid tooling fails to create metamodel for web service
by Ted Jones (JIRA)
Ted Jones updated TEIIDDES-2028:
--------------------------------
Fix Version/s: 8.7
(was: 8.6)
> Teiid tooling fails to create metamodel for web service
> -------------------------------------------------------
>
> Key: TEIIDDES-2028
> URL: https://issues.jboss.org/browse/TEIIDDES-2028
> Project: Teiid Designer
> Issue Type: Bug
> Security Level: Public(Everyone can see)
> Components: Modeling
> Affects Versions: 8.3
> Reporter: Van Halbert
> Assignee: Ted Jones
> Fix For: 8.7
>
>
> Description of problem:
> Unable to build metamodel for customer provided WSDL file. Simplified the web service to a single operation that uses three embedded schemas under wsdl types. Stack trace from NPE appears in console log and errors occur after wizard is executed. Screenshots for wizard, wsdl file, and stack trace are attached.
> I'm able to validate the WSDL and I can generate a web service from the WSDL within a dynamic web project using the web service wizard.
> Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
> JBDS 7.1, latest Teiid tooling from https://devstudio.jboss.com/updates/7.0-development/integration-stack/, DV 6.0.0.CR2
> How reproducible:
> Everytime
> Steps to Reproduce:
> 1. Create Teiid Model Project
> 2. Import WSDL under schemas folder
> 3. Use Teiid Metamodel wizard to consume WSDL
> see BZ for attachments.
