> If the server isn't configured before doing a file import of a csv files issues will occur.
> In this case, sever was not configured upon start up. During the steps to import of the CSV file, it had the option to automatically create the data source enabled (but visually disabled). The JNDI name was filled. Finished importing and the source and view models were created.
> Started server and then tried previewing. This errors because the data source hasn't been created yet.
> I then created the data source.
> Then tried to do a data preview. But that failed. I then realized, if you do menu option "Set JNDI Name" it is blank. After retesting different scenarios, the JNDI name is set to blank if you use the Create Datasource option. So that how the JNDI got wiped clean. Once the JNDI name was reset, could then do a data preview.

[JBoss JIRA] (TEIIDDES-2906) Server editor doesn't save teiid password when contains exclamation mark
by Matej Kralik (JIRA)
Matej Kralik created TEIIDDES-2906:
--------------------------------------
Summary: Server editor doesn't save teiid password when contains exclamation mark
Key: TEIIDDES-2906
URL: https://issues.jboss.org/browse/TEIIDDES-2906
Project: Teiid Designer
Issue Type: Bug
Components: Editors
Affects Versions: 10.0.1
Environment: Fedora 24
Reporter: Matej Kralik
Priority: Critical
Attachments: password.mkv
When I want to set a password for the teiid user, the teiid designer doesn't save it. My password contains exclamation mark. I think that this is the problem. In the attachments, I upload video. The first time a fill in the password without exclamation mark and save. Next, I add exclamation mark but the password is not saved. Next, I remove exclamation mark and save. The password is saved. Finally, I copy/paste exclamation mark. The password is not saved.
In the error log is this error : Unable to decrypt entry encoded with default password as no default password is currently specified.
Stack trace :

[JBoss JIRA] (TEIIDDES-2905) Ingres connection profile doesn't contain jarList connection property
by Matej Kralik (JIRA)
Matej Kralik created TEIIDDES-2905:
--------------------------------------
Summary: Ingres connection profile doesn't contain jarList connection property
Key: TEIIDDES-2905
URL: https://issues.jboss.org/browse/TEIIDDES-2905
Project: Teiid Designer
Issue Type: Bug
Affects Versions: 10.0.1
Environment: Fedora 24
Reporter: Matej Kralik
Attachments: screenshot1.png, screenshot2.png, screenshot3.png
I had created Ingres connection profile but when I wanted to create a data source, this connection profile doesn't contain jarList connection property (screenshot1). In spite of this, I was not able to create data source because designer showed me the error that driver is not on the server (screenshot2). The others connection profiles contain this property and deploy driver on the server. (for example Oracle - screenshot3)
Of course, I can upload driver manually on the server but I think, it will be better if the designer does this.

-----------------------------------------
Increasing the priority from Major to Critical since there is no error message or documented workaround for the user. There is data corruption since the JNDI name was input and then wiped clean under the covers. Most users won't be able to figure the cause of the error out for themselves.
