[JBoss JIRA] (TEIIDDES-2812) Add ability to reverse engineer into a Pojo object from a table or view
by Van Halbert (JIRA)
[ https://issues.jboss.org/browse/TEIIDDES-2812?page=com.atlassian.jira.plu... ]
Van Halbert commented on TEIIDDES-2812:
---------------------------------------
Need to make the following changes to the module.xml that's created.
Need to replace the dependencies with the following:
<module name="org.infinispan.client.hotrod" slot="jdg-6.6" optional="true" services="export"/>
<module name="org.infinispan.protostream" slot="jdg-6.6" optional="true" services="export"/>
If possible. so that this can be used with the latest community, would be to add an option when enabling to create the module that indicates the "slot" to use. Currently, "jdg-6.6" is the latest, but the next version of "jdg-7.0" will be needed. So if the "slot" to set can be edited and let the user override, would be a good usability option.

> When I wanted preview date from the table which contains column with specific name, server shows me this error:
> TEIID31100 Parsing error: Encountered "'FALSE'), [*]YEAR[*] string(" at line 8, column 9.
> Was expecting: "constraint" | "foreign" | "primary" | "unique" | id
> I looked on the DDL which designer generated (screenshot1) and I think that column TIME should be between quotation marks.
> "YEAR" string(4000) OPTIONS(NAMEINSOURCE '"YEAR"', UPDATABLE 'FALSE')
> When I change column name from TIME to "TIME", the preview passed and showed me data. (screenshot2)
> A similar situation is when I generated dynamic VDB.

[JBoss JIRA] (TEIIDDES-2888) Default value is not correctly parsed
by Barry LaFond (JIRA)
[ https://issues.jboss.org/browse/TEIIDDES-2888?page=com.atlassian.jira.plu... ]
Barry LaFond resolved TEIIDDES-2888.
------------------------------------
Resolution: Rejected
Per comment on TEIIDDES-2687 the ('Stock') expression is invalid for a default value:
Steven Hawkins added a comment - 13/Oct/15 8:09 AM
Currently the default must be a string literal, *so ('STOCK') will not be correct*. There have been some changes here of late, but more changes are needed to handle this fully - TEIID-3750

> When I want preview data from my table (productdata in the project which is in the attachment), server shows me this error:
> TEIID31100 Parsing error: Encountered ") DEFAULT '('[*]Stock[*]')' OPTIONS"
> In one column I have default value ('Stock') (screenshot1)
> I am not sure whether it is the correct form of default value or not but in the old version of teiid designer preview this table works fine. I think that ddl parser is not able to parse this. (screenshot2)
