Barry LaFond commented on TEIIDDES-1318:
----------------------------------------
At some point in our code, we're copying the system.vdb info over to the
.metadata/plugins/org.teiid.designer.core folder
Might be appropriate to overwrite this vdb at start-up so it's correctly replaced
whenever designer is started. This will fix the "install updated Designer" use
case.
We could try and discover the "latest" version of the Designer
org.teiid.designer.core jar, but seems like a lot of work for a light-weight resource
copy
Faced with multiple installation jar files, Designer may choose the
wrong one

Project: Teiid Designer
Issue Type: Bug
Components: Housekeeping
Reporter: Paul Nittel
I installed JBDS 4.1.2 and updated to 4.1.3. When finished, the old System.vdb file was
still in the workspace plugins directory. To workarouns this problem, I needed to switch
to a new workspace, which forced loading the correct jar file and its components (like
System.vdb).
