Dan Florian updated TEIIDDES-934:
---------------------------------
Attachment: vdbEditor7.1.patch
Yes this was a known problem that was covered under another issue which was fixed in a
later version. The attached patch ports the changes that fix these layout issues to the
VDB Editor back to the 7.1 branch.
Cannot access Data Roles and Other Files sections in VDB editor when
there are a large number of models
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Key: TEIIDDES-934
URL:
https://issues.jboss.org/browse/TEIIDDES-934
Project: Teiid Designer
Issue Type: Bug
Components: VDB & Execution
Affects Versions: 7.1.1
Environment: RHEL CSB on a T510 laptop. Running the SOA-P/EDS 5.1 GA bits and
JBDS4.0 GA with the Preview patch from blafond applied
Reporter: Chuck Mosher
Assignee: Dan Florian
Attachments: FinancialsDemo-13-Apr-2011.zip, vdbEditor7.1.patch
As the number of models added to the VDB grows, the amount of screen real estate given to
the Models display increases and pushes the Other Files and Data Roles section past the
bottom of the screen. It then becomes impossible to add a data role, edit a data role, or
add/remove additional files. At the least a scrollbar should appear on the right of the
window to allow you to move to that section of the wizard, but it does not.
The result is that it is impossible to add/administer data roles in any VDB of a
reasonable size. I have attached a project with a .vdb that illustrates the behavior.
