Unlike you, I'm not opposed to plugins that interact with low-level aspects of Forge. I think there's really two different classes of plugins for Forge:
1) Code comprehension and enhancement plugins.
2) Plugins which enhance the Forge environment itself.
The plugin I showed here fits into category two.
