Hardy Ferentschik commented on HV-417:
--------------------------------------

Regarding JDiff I am undecided. The output is very verbose even though not so much has changed. Most of the changes originate from the programmatic constraint refactoring. I am not sure how useful it is in the long run. We would also have to consider how to integrate this. Did you use the maven jdiff maven plugin to generate the report or was this a once of effort? There is a plugin, but it seems quite old. Not much activity around JDiff itself either.

> The reference guide should make clear, which HV packages are public and which ones not. Also some rules for evolvement of the public packages should be specified.
> The packages comprising the programmatic configuration API should be part of the generated OSGi manifest.
> This is a follow-up to HV-310.
