hibernate search 4.1 is working fine for us. it is the first version i have been able to use since 3 due to a bug in lucene prior to 3.5 that was a show stopper for us. It is all working, thank you, and there is no particular jar that needs to be updated for us. 
It was more of an observation that i noticed many of the jars are outdated. I can see your point about keeping old ones but still think it is best not to have beta versions in your product that is considered a final release version.
