The type of a ManagedProperty can be a org.jboss.metatype.api.values.CompositeValue, which can represent either a list or a map. The current DataSource capabilities need to be expanded by the real deployer. If your just looking to test these types of values, I can add connectionProperties to the current ds override mapping.
