How about 32?  We typically run on an 8 CPU system but have run on 16 and 32 CPU systems (my desktop is 2 CPU with hyperthreading, so I am always runningwith 4 CPUs).

If you have more than 4 CPUs you will want to set affinity (see http://wiki.jboss.org/wiki/Wiki.jsp?page=SPECjAppServer2002TuningWindows2003)
